(1) Scope of use
BX-series hydraulic pressure powered cutting machine is mainly applicable to fundus-boring or material-scissoring of pigskin, cowhide, synthetic leather and other materials in shoemaking industry. It is also applicable to material-cutting in leather processing, slopwork, case & box, rubber, plastic and paper-product.
(2) Characteristics
1. It is characterized by its easy and simple operation method, low trouble rate, strong scissoring force, fast scissoring speed and convenient maintenance.
2. Due to adopt electric time-lapse circuit to control the lower limit of stroke, the controlling precision is high and the quality of scissored material is improved accordingly. It is easy and simple to adjust the height of working table by hand-wheel.
3. Instantaneous scissoring is obtained by making use of the inertia energy of hand-wheel and thus energy-consuming is relative low.

3. Main structure and system description
Main components of this machine, such as bracket, swing arm, foundation subassembly, hydraulic device, electric controlled parts, are adopted hydraulic drive and electric-hydraulic combination control.
(1) The bracket is the main support body of this machine and the swing arm foundation subassembly are fixed on it. The inner of the bracket is hydraulic-controlled part and the electrical-controlled part is assembled on the foreside.
(2) Swing arm and foundation subassembly
The hand-wheel is fixed on the pole and the pole drills through the column. The piston and the oil cylinder are tensed by a screw thread and are abut against the lower spring.
The swing arm is fastened on the column by a bolt and 2 Buttons are fixed on it.
(3) Hydraulic-controlled device
The motor and the oil-pump are assembled on the oil-pump seat which is located in the foreside of the bracket. The flying-wheel connects the motor and oil-pump shaft by two couplings. An oil circuit board is installed on the oil pump and the electromagnetic valve and pressure valve is also fixed on the oil pump. While operating the machine, the motor runs and drives the oil pump by a set of couplings to generate high-pressure oil. After flowing through the oil circuit panel of controlled component and electromagnetic valve, the high-pressure oil causes the running down of oil cylinder and thus achieves a scissoring course. The spring fixed on the column resets the swing arm and column components fleetly and a punch cutting course completed.(The working stoke can be adjusted by lower hand-wheel.)
The pressure valve is a safe valve and relative values of the pressure valve have been set accurately. Any unapproved adjustment is forbidden.
(4) Electrical system
Plug into the power supply and turn on the switch. The motor will start up after pressing the start-up button. If the change-over switch is dialed to (I) and two buttons on the swing arm are pressed, the oil pump will run (These two buttons muse be pressed simultaneously within 1 second, otherwise the swing arm will not run down).The electro-circuit activates the electromagnetism valve by a relay and then transports oil into oil cylinder, and the swing arm runs down accordingly.
Having finished one scissoring course, the next startup of running-down must be conducted after stopping pressing two buttons. That is to say, a short interval must be set between two running-down strokes (It is controlled by time relay). When the time interval expired, the electromagnetism valve will reset and thus switch off the oil circuit which led to the oil cylinder, and the swing arm will reset immediately due to push by the spring under the column. Dial the change-over switch to (II), the procedures above can be realized after pressing one of the buttons on the swing arm.
4. Assembly of the machine
1. Tie a steel wire on the swing arm and hoist the machine body to assembly field by hoisting equipment (A forklift which can scoop up it from underside is the best choice).
2. Remove the side cover board and infuse about 35kg clean 46# hydraulic oil into it.
3. Safely earth the machine body and plug into power supply.
4. Press the startup button and pay attention to the turning direction of the flying-wheel, make sure it is consistent with that of the arrowhead.
5. Press the Stop button.
5. Running-in and adjustment
1. Turn the time delay positioner to its minimum value and place the material to be scissored on the working table.
2. Put the blade module on the material to be scissored and move the swing arm right above the blade module. Aim the swing arm to the center line of blade module as accurate as possible.
3. The swing arm will drop when turn around the upper hand-wheel clockwise and it will raise when turn around the upper hand-wheel anticlockwise. Make sure the lower plane of swing arm is 6~10㎜ above the blade back of the blade module.
4. Press the startup button on the motor and then press the buttons on swing arm simultaneously by two hands, the swing arm will fall. Keep pressing the running-down button until the swing arm is ascending. While the swing arm is running down, pressing of buttons repeatedly is forbidden; otherwise the intermediate relay will be damaged.
5. Slightly turn the button clockwise on the swing arm to increase the scissoring stroke.
6. Repeat procedures above and adjust the time button until the blade module is slightly pressed into plastic board.
6. Operation method of the machine
1. Place the material to be scissored on the plastic board of the working table and put the blade module on the material to be scissored.
2. Move the swing arm right above the blade module.
3. Press the running-down buttons by two hands.
4. Stop pressing running-down buttons and move away the swing arm before taking down the scissored material, one scissoring procedure is finished.
5. Put the blade module on a new material to be scissored and repeat the scissoring procedure.
7. Reairing and maintenance
(1) Cleaning of the machine tool
Every shift is required to clear up and clean the machine tool and complete cleaning is to be conducted every week. The oil purifier must be cleaned every three months.
Compressed air can be used to clean up the oil purifier by blowing filth from inner to outside.
(2) Pay attention to check the oil level in bottom box. If it is below the lowest accepted level, the same type oil must be duly replenished. If the loss of oil is in a severe status, the reason must be found out and relative actions shall be taken.
(3)The pressure valve is fixed and locked before leaving the factory, any unapproved adjustment is forbidden to protect the machine tool from over-loading damage.
(4).The plastic board should be used equally and allowed to turn 180°horizontally while scissoring.
(5).The fastness of each joint must be checked regularly when the machine is on use. If any looseness is discovered, it must be fastened immediately.
8. Common trouble and trouble shooting
(1).Running failure of the motor
1. Check the electric wire to see if is connected accurately.
2. Check the switch of the motor to see if it has been damaged. If any damage is discovered, repair or replace the switch.
(2).The motor is running reversely due to wrong connection of two wires, replace the outside two-phase wire.
(3) The swing arm runs down automatically before two buttons on the swing arm are being pressed. Check the switch or electromagnetic valve and then repair or replace it.
(4) The swing arm doesn’t run down after two buttons on the swing arm are being pressed
1. Something wrong with two buttons on the swing arm, check them and then repair or replace them.
2. The oil level in the oil cylinder is low.
3. Any leakage occurs to hydraulic pipe or joint, check the hydraulic pipe or joint and solve the problem.
4. Any looseness occurs to the pressure valve. Adjust the pressure valve to normal condition.
5. The time-interval of pressing two buttons on the swing arm by two hands is over 1 second. Repress two buttons.
6. The electromagnetism valve doesn’t work. Check the electromagnetism valve and the electric wire connected with it.
7. The seal ring is broken or is worn thin, or any leakage occurs to oil cylinder. Check and obviate the troubles above.
(5)The material-scissoring is failed due to following: nonconformity of delay time and stroke distance; any leakage in oil cylinder; low oil level or any blockade in oil purifier. Check and readjust relative value. Check the piston oil purifier of oil cylinder on pressure valve if failure of material-scissoring occurs, and then repair it according to the check result.
(6) The material-scissoring is completed, but the blade module cut into the material too deep.
1. The delay time has been set overlong; reset it to an adequate value.
2. Any trouble is with the positioner, repair or replace it.
3. Any looseness occurs to the pressure valve and thus causes low overfall pressure. Readjust the pressure.
(7).The swing arm can not reset after finishing the scissoring. The reason is that the electromagnetism valve fails to reset. Repair or replace the electromagnetism valve.
